Tool/software:
I’m doing some fault testing on our unit’s interfaces and wanted to create a simple load switch to allow me to inject short to battery (STB) or short to ground (STG) faults.
The battery needs to be either +52V or -52V and be switchable using a logic signal to the circuit under fault testing (i.e. Analogue or Digital inputs, CAN-FD, RS232, RS485, 1000BASE-T or 100BASE-T1 Ethernet interfaces). The load switch should be capable of switching the battery voltage to the load or be open circuit, as the circuit should recover after the fault is removed, so no active discharge is required.
Can you suggest any T.I. devices that could potentially be used do this type of fault injection please?
I was thinking of possibly using the ISOM8600 device to do this, but there may be other (better) solutions?
