ISO721M-EP: Dynamic capacitance available?

Hello,

I see that the part ISO721MMDREP has power dissipated in its datasheet which is helpful, but I was wondering if there is also a known dynamic capacitance (Cpd) available for the same part?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out. 

    The isolation capacitance is a fixed value that only relates to the isolation barrier specifically while the power dissipation is related to the entirety of the device. Can you please provide more clarification/background in relation to your question?

    Hi good afternoon,

    I am trying to calculate the actual nominal and maximum power that this device will use to properly size the discrete power supply I am designing. I can calculate the DC power of the part with current spec, I need to calculate the AC component which includes Cpd (the capacitance I'm looking for) and the load capacitance, which I have.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the description about what you are trying to do. The Cpd parameter seems more like a parameter that is more related to your system and how the isolator is setup as far as data rate, impedances, and load capacitance is concerned. Cpd for your system can be calculated in relation to your system parameters and the isolator by using the Power dissipation specification, ICC specification, and switching frequency of your system. Please see the below images for these specifications that you can use to calculate these values:
