hello.. i m gona design a isolated RS-485 master full-duplex transceiver to 8 RS485 slave tranceivers (camera) reference from below website, and hence i need a isolated DC/DC buck converter from 12v to 3v3. I m looking at ucc14240.

1. can anyone advise if this is fine to work with iOS3086 (RS-485 Transceiver)? or please recommend a suitable one.

2. Do i need an unregulated or regulated DC/DC?

3 . Do you have any DC/DC converter EVK to recommend? or any schematic diagram for me?

If you want to use an IIB (Integrated Isolated Bias) module, TI does not current have 12V-to-3.3V available. The closest is UCC33411-Q1 which is 5V-to-3.3V so you would need a non-isolated 12V-to-5V pre-reg.

ok could you recommend an TI non-isolated 12V-to-5V pre-reg. but this non isolated 12v-5v work on isolated RS485? My ultimate goal is to have a isolation RS485 system. Please advise...

or could you recommend any solution to provide 12v to 3v3 isolated, either regulated or unregulated, so that eventually i get a ioslated RS485 system..

Hello,,, thx, i need another 1.8v dc/dc buck converter, either 3v3 to 1.8v or 5v to 1.8v would be good.

I am not familiar with the requirements of your RS485 system but if the only reason to convert 12V to 5V is to provide adequate input voltage to an IIB, you could use an LDO. Also, since your E2E thread title is "UCC14240-Q1..." and we are discussing other non-related topics, could you please submit a new E2E thread so the best product expert can be assigned to support?
