ISOM8111: Isolation between in/out system (grounds references)

Hello everybody,

we re designing a I/O system for MCU in order to isolated the +24Vdc power supply of sensors to MCU inputs.

Our first option to isolated the system with ILD213T was according this picture (in this case only worked fine if the grounds were joined):

Can we assume that we will be able to separate the input and output 'gounds'?

    Hello German, 

    I am not sure what you are specifically asking for here. The ISOM8111 will need isolated grounds on the PCB to have the full isolation performance. However, it will operate functionally with the grounds connected as well, but the isolation would be bypassed.
