ISO6741-Q1: Output behavior when VCC2 drops

Part Number: ISO6741-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

My customer has a question about ISO6741-Q1 (non-F version): When VCC1=5V, VCC2 is dropping, what will the behavior of OUTA be? For example, VCC1=5V, INA=0, VCC2 drops from 5V to 0V.

According to the datasheet, when 1.89V<VCC2<2.25V, 1.05V<VCC1<1.71V, OUTA is undetermined. But what's about the voltage range besides this? Thanks.

Best Regards

Grey

  • Hi Grey,

    Thanks for reaching out.

According to the datasheet, when 1.89V<VCC2<2.25V, 1.05V<VCC1<1.71V, OUTA is undetermined. But what's about the voltage range besides this? Thanks.

When VCC2 is below 1.89V and VCC1 is below 1.05V, the entire device is powered off. If the device is powered off, OUTA remains undetermined. When VCC2 is above 2.25V and VCC1 and is above 1.71V, OUTA will be at the default state. When VCC2 drops from 5V to 0V, OUTA will become undetermined. For more information about the output state when VCC1 is powered on or off, please refer to section 7.4 in the data sheet. Please also check the recommended operating conditions for the power supply ranges in which the device is powered on.

    Best,
    Sara
