ISO6760: Digital Isolators for Medical Application

Hi Team,

I am looking for 4- to 8-channel digital I/O isolators suitable for medical applications. I have currently shortlisted the ISO6760; however, it does not meet medical-grade requirements. Could you please recommend an alternative isolator that is appropriate for medical use?

    Hi Shifali,

    Why do you think that ISO6760 doesn't meet medical-grade requirements? Please check out the CSA certificate of ISO6760 at:

    It shows that this device meets IEC 60601-1 requirements for 2 MOPP (2 means of patient protection) up to 250 Vrms.

    3. For CSA 60601-1:14 and IEC60601-1 Ed.3+A1 for 2 MOPP for 250Vrms, the devices meet clauses 8.5.5.1, 8.8.2, 8.8.3x1.6, 8.9.3.2, 8.9.3.4, 8.9.1.15, 8.9.1.7. The risk management process is not applicable to these clauses.
