ISOM8600: To know the maximum switching speed

Hi,

 

One of my application, i planned to use the IC. I just want to know  the maximum & min switching frequency and max operating voltage between S1 & S2.

    Hello Vignesh, 

    Thank you for reaching out. As you have noticed, the ISOM8600 is used for switching burden resistors and other inputs. It's switching performance is not tied to a specific interface standard for isolated switching. Therefore, the maximum and minimum switching frequency is not strictly defined.

    The below switching characteristics table can be used to provide a maximum switching frequency using F_max = 1/(TON+TOFF) = 2.5kHz. This calculation only includes the ON and OFF response time, and I would recommend adding the amount of time your application needs an ON and OFF asserted. Adding these hold times will create a healthy margin that is more appropriate for your applications.
