SN6501 Bipolar Bridge Rectifier Circuit Design.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN6501

Hi,

I would like to use the SN6501 to generate +/- 2.5V using a bridge rectifier configuration. I will be using a 1:1 Wurth transformer and a 5V supply at the primary of the transformer. Please let me know how i can generate +/-2.5V and explain me about the configuration for the same.

Thanks,

Girish

  • Hi Girish,

You can generate the desired +/-2.5V from a 5V supply using the desired bridge rectifier configuration along with a 1.7:1 step down transformer instead of a 1:1 Wurth transformer.

Find below the schematic and simulation results for the same.
