isolated potential difference

Hello All,

i would like to know the potential difference between  two isolated power supply ground,

We use isolated 24V to power the sensors and isolated 12V to interface the sensor

and signal conditioning. At the front end , i would like build the differential amplifier to  to get

tthe sensor data and amplify.

in this case , for  how much maximum common mode voltage differential amplifier shall tolerate?

  • Hi Naresh,

The two GNDs of TI isolators have galvanic isolation and hence the circuit on either side need not have any common mode voltage as long as they are referred to local GND. Since these are digital isolators, I am afraid you can't use these devices to transmit analog voltage across barrier without converting them to digital and hence no differential amplifier can be interfaced directly to an isolator.
