Question about Multi output of SN6501

Can SN6501 drive multi transformer?

For example, in the case of one SN6501 output to three transformers.

Is this system no problem?

(ON/OFF timing is no required)

Or, is it depend on drive current and output current only?

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hi Satoshi,

SN6501 is a push-pull convertor working in an open-loop configuration, as long as the peak current is not violating max current of device SN6501 should work just fine. What I am not sure is about connecting transformers in parallel, I am not sure how would these transformers behave when they are connected in parallel. You may have to test and figure out what exactly happens .

  • Hi Satoshi,

SN6505 has higher current capability than SN6501, if your output current is high you may want to use SN6505 along with the multi transformer configuration to able to drive better. Please let us know if you find any issues while testing this configuration, thank you.
