ISO7341C: VCC2=310V GND2=305V. Can it work

Dears,

Our customer are using ISO7341C, he want to use following schematic, the voltage of VCC1=3.3V, GND1=0V, VCC2=310, GND2=305V, the reference voltage of OUTA, OUTB, OUTC and IND are GND2=305V. The chip could work or not?

Hi Ricardo,

Just to confirm. The potential difference between GND1 and GND2 will be 305V, but the potential difference between pins on the same side with respect to corresponding ground will not be exceeding 5V.

If this is the case, the digital isolator should work fine because the 305V will come across the isolation barrier which is designed to handle high voltages.

Hi Anand,

That is to say that the difference voltage between IND(pin 11) and OUTD(pin 6) will be 305V, but the device could handle it. The Block Diagram likes below.
