ISO1540DR I2C_data level is wrong

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO1540

We used ISO1540DR to isolate I2C signal.

When measured the I2C waveform, the level(SDA1_PIN2) of I2c is not 0V.

But the waveform of Pin 7 is normal.

  • Hi,

Thank you for your interest in ISO1540. The observation that you have had is normal, the SDA1 & SCL1 pins are designed to produce a slightly higher VOL to be able to achieve bidirectional function.

Please refer to ISO1540 datasheet section 8.4 for more details on the device internal operation, it also talks about why the VOL output level being higher. This question is also answered in another E2E post, please find below the link for the E2E post where you can find additional information. Thanks.
