ISO3086: Half duplex use ?

Part Number: ISO3086
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO1410

Can ISO3086 be used as half duplex by shorting A & Y (11,14) and B & Z (12,13) pins ?

  • Prahlad,

Yes you can do this however it is optimal if you were to use a half-duplex transceiver. Have you seen the ISO1410? It's our latest isolated half-duplex transceiver.

    Respectfully,
    Lucas

  • Lucas,
Thanks for confirmation. ISO3086 is on the board & customer wants p2p footprint, half duplex part instead of ISO3086 or willing to use ISO3086 in half duplex as indicated earlier. Do you have any p2p footprint half duplex alternate suggestion ?
  • Prahlad,

Unfortunately we do not have a half-duplex isolated transceiver that is pin to pin compatible with the full duplex versions. However, the packages are the same and the pin difference is minimal.

    Respectfully,
    Lucas
