ISO7740-Q1: common mode transient immunity test

Part Number: ISO7740-Q1

Hello team,

I got a question regarding the common-mode immunity test circuit on page 21 of ISO7740-Q1 datasheet.  For this test, is the IN-side EN tied to VCCI and OUT-side EN tied to VCCO during the test?  If not, do we have CMTI test result with both input and output enabled?

Thank you for your support!

Errol

  • Hi Errol,

Yes, for all our CMTI tests the EN pin is tied to the respective VCC along with a 100nF cap on EN pin to the respective GND to make sure EN pin is not affecting the true CMTI result of isolation channel.

For ISO7740-Q1, please do note that EN is only available on VCC2 side as EN2 and VCC1 side there is no EN pin as there are no OUT pins. EN is only available to control the OUT pins. Thanks.
