ISO1212: Power consumption if using only 1 of 2 channels

Hi,

If I use only Channel 1 of the ISO1212 part, will how I connect the unused pins affect the quiescent current consumption?

Is it best practice to leave all the Channel 2 pins (5, 9, 10, 11, 12) unconnected?

Hi Hong,

Please note that the quiescent current ICC1 that is specified in section 6.9 of ISO121x datasheet is not a normal operation current, this is the current for the condition where all the pins on side2 are unconnected or no input signal applied (i.e., voltage at IN is 0V). ICC1 will slightly increase as a signal is applied at IN and as it switches upto 4Mbps.
