DC motor solution check for HVAC application

Hi, Team:

My customer have a requirement about 3-6 DC motor driver and need to have the function for revolution counter. The motor current is about 0.4A, the input PWM frequency up to 20KHz+-10%, duty can be adjust individual. Need diagnostic function with short to battery/GND, over current, open load. Can you help to advise if we have such solution?

 

Now, customer find a solution E910.72 from ELMOS that integrate the pulse detectors and counters function but it can’t support PWM input. So, they may need 3-6 channel half bridge with PWM input capability and short to battery/GND, over current, open load protection. Can you help to check if we have some solution?

 

Customer checked DRV8823Q but looks like it can’t worked as half bridge directly, can you help to double check and confirm?

 

BTW, customer need AEC-Q grade solution.

    Hi Alpha,

    I have assigned the engineer supporting PGA411-Q1 which is a resolver device that may be useful for the revolution counter portion of your question above. In addition the gate drive / bridge drivers for motor control are not supported in this forum. I would recommend in parallel adding a post to the Motor Drivers forum where the DRVxxxx devices are supported.
