TPS92630-Q1: TPS92630-Q1 Thermal Foldback programming

Part Number: TPS92630-Q1

Hello,

I cannot understand what the below line at the bottom of p.19 of the datasheet means. What does this mean?

"With TEMP floating, the definition of thermal monitor activation temperature, T(th), is the temperature at which the current reduction begins."

What if without floating? I guess the definition is still the same.

I would also like to know if TEMP can be left floating.

Thanks.
