Hello,

I m using CC1101 as transmitter and receiver. I need to enable hardware FEC and i m wondering whether i need to enable CRC. What is the maximum data length that i can get as payload?

(I do not want to use status bytes and length and i'm using hardware addressing and fixed packet length mode)

Hi Richard,

I already went through above application notes. It clearly elaborates FEC algorithm which can be used in CC430 (CC430 does not have hardware FEC)

I m planning to use Hardware FEC with maximum possible data length.

(1) if there is hardware FEC, do i need to enable hardware CRC as well?

(2) can i reduce "bytes on the air" by omitting CRC?
