I am looking for a 8/16 bit MCU which supports code protection ( should not be capable of reading or re writting at an cost) for automotive application, please help me with the same

    Venkatesh,

    TI offers Safety automotive processors that are part of the Hercules family.   Additionally, there are processors and microcontrollers available.

    Most of these processors offer code protection via locking out JTAG.

    I would suggest you post to one of the forums supporting these devices to help determine best match for your needs.

    Your system needs may help narrow down which family to evaluate further.
