TFP401A-EP: DVI In problem using single channel data (Clock & Data 0 only)

Part Number: TFP401A-EP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP410-EP

Hallo support team,

I got a problem with TFP401A-EP.
I am recieving only 2 differential pairs - CLK and Data 0 (Blue) (recieve from TI TFP410-EP transmitting 1024X1280 and 67.5MHz).
The 2 other channels (Red and Green) are disable (separately) with 100nF capaciter to the negitive signal (to the ground) and 0Ohm resistor from the positive signal to the ground.
The problem is that I don't see the Blanking stage (don't recieve valid DE,HSYNC and VSYNC).
the data I recieve correctly (but not synchronized...) and the clock is  and work fine/

The setup of the component :DFO=0, PD=1, PDO=1, PIXIS=0, ST=1, STAG=1, EXT_RES=NC, RSVD=1, OCK_INV=1

I performed some experiments:
1. Connected to the design a standard full DVI from bar generator - Clock & 3 data (instead of the disable components) - It worked fine (Recieve valid DE,HSYNC and VSYNC).
2. Connected to the design a only 2 DVI data from bar generator - Clock & Blue & Red (the Green remain floating) - It worked fine (Recieve valid DE,HSYNC and VSYNC).
3. Connected to the design a only 2 DVI data from bar generator - Clock & Blue & Green (the Red remain floating) - It worked fine (Recieve valid DE,HSYNC and VSYNC).
4. Connected to the design a only 1 DVI data from bar generator - Clock & Blue (the Red & Green remain floating) - It doesn't work - no Blanking time.

5. replace the component to Silicon Image Sil 1161 in the original setup - It worked fine (Recieve valid DE,HSYNC and VSYNC).

The DVI1.0 spec when thers inactive region the DE soppused to be low and the HSYNC and VSYNC are encoded only in the Blue channel (Data 0)

My conclusion is that TFP401A-EP doesn't work properly with only one channel (Data 0 & Clock).

Is it so ?
Why?

Yony
