ADS1278-HT: [ADS1278] what is adc channel input max current (continuous) of ads1278?

Page 12 of the datasheet contains the information you seeking:  maximum allowable momentary input current without damage is 100mA while continuous current is 10mA. Please confirm that this answers your question.

If I assume that over-current of the above figure corresponds to the continuous current, does the ADC work if the continuous current is more than 10mA?

I don't understand the figure provided. You imply that the figure corresponds to an overcurrent plot yet the y-axis is labeled voltage. The device functionality is not guaranteed even if the absolute maximum specs are met. This just guarantees that the device will not be damaged. Exceeding these values could permanently damage the device. In order to not damage the device, the continuous current into the analog inputs should not exceed 10ma.
