SN74LVC06A: Is SN74LVC06A with open-drain output?

According to the datasheet, page 2, function table.

When input = H, output = L

When input = L, output = H << I would like to confirm if output = high Z and not logic H.

    Hi,

    You are correct, the output in the function table should technically be Hi-Z. On our newer datasheets this is now the standard, however, we still have this generic inverter truth table on some older ones. 

    If you want to use this as an inverter a pull-up resistor on the output is needed to make the output H.
