SN74LV541AT: SN74LV541ATRGYR 4.5V - 5.5V vs SN74LV541ARGYR 3.3V CMOS Version

Part Number: SN74LV541AT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV541A, SN74LV1T126

Hi,

Good Day.

For the subject part, the customer is looking for performance data related to the lower-than-spec supply voltage. They have instances where they are using a 4.5V - 5.5V part in place of the 3.3V part. What conditions will cause the 4.5V - 5.5V part to fail in a 3.3v voltage circuit? They want to acknowledge that this is not a TI issue and would bare no responsibility/liability here. They do have products in the field with the 5V part instead of the 3.3V part. They want to understand under what conditions might this 4.5V - 5.5V part fail in the 3.3V circuit.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent
