Hi team, 

Is there any difference between SN74LVC1G373DCKR and 74LVC1G373DCKRG4?

I do understand more or less G4 suffix, but what is the meaning of SN prefix?

According to datasheet the difference in Lead finish/Ball material. Can you please explain what does it mean and if there is an actual difference for application? Are these two PNs are interchangeable?

    The SN prefix in the part number stands for "Semiconductor Network", and is used for all logic devices. In theory, the 74LVC1G373DCKRG4 also should have it, but it is omitted because the part number would have become too long.

    The SN74LVC1G373DCKR is made at multiple manufacturing sites, some of which use NiPdAu lead finish, and some, Sn.
    The 74LVC1G373DCKRG4 is guaranteed to always have NiPdAu lead finish.

    There should be no practical difference.

    Hi Aida,

    Clemens is correct in his explanation. 

    Just to add on to this, we do recommend if possible to push your customer towards the non-G4 package unless your customer cannot use a tin lead finish. The G4 devices will have a lower stock generally.
