SN74LVC125A: OD Configuration

Hello TI Team, 

the data sheet of the SN74LVC125A states that the maximum voltage at the output is Vo VCC+0.5V.

It further states "The input and output negative-voltage ratings may be exceeded if the input and output current ratings are observed.".

We want to run outputs in an OD configuration:

- VCC is 1.8V
- a 10k PU is connected to the output to 5V.
- Vi is connected to GND.
- the 1.8V signal controls to OE#.

Is this allowed? A competitor datasheet gives an explicit OD-use voltage value (e.g. 5.5V).
