LSF0108: LSF0108

Part Number: LSF0108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0108E

Hello All,

In some situations, I need the signal on both sides to be 3.3V. Will the LSF0108 work properly if VREF_A, EN, and VREF_B are connected to 3.3V?

  • Hey Dusko,

This won't work. VREFA and VREFB must be 0.8V apart for proper operation. However, you can bias VREFA to 3.3V and VREFB to higher power supply (such as 5V, as long as it is at least 0.8V higher), and then have the B-side connections pulled up to 3.3V. Please see figure 9-4 for an example of this implementation.

If a higher power supply is not available, see the TXS0108E as it allows for VCCA = VCCB operation.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to avoid additional components if possible, so I'll look at the datasheet for the TXS0108E. Maybe that's a better option.
