SN74AVC4T245: D/S Description Question

Part Number: SN74AVC4T245
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AVC2T245

Team,

I'm confused about SN74AVC2T245 datasheet as below, can you help me with it? Thanks!

What's Vtp? Why we should have Vtp considered when calculating Tplz and Tphz?

  • Hi Qiang,

Vtp is the threshold for a PMOS transistor. To turn OFF a pFET,  gate voltage Vg > Vtp and Vg < Vtp to ON.

Hence, Vtp is considered when calculating the enable / disable time (i.e time to go from off-state Hi-z to a defined High/Low or from a defined High/Low level to off-state Hi-z), thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Michael.
