If it's discontinued, do you have an official letter and a replacement?

Is 'SN54LS08' a replacement?

The SN5408 was discontinued a long time ago. It is unlikely that any documentation is still available.

In general, LS devices can replace TTL devices. If you do not require the full drive strength, the CD54HCT08 would also work.

The SN54HC08 does not have TTL-compatible inputs.
