We have a circuit with measurements of ~ -0.84V on an input of the subject device for ~5-10nsec at a repetition rate of 200khz.
1. Do we have any guidance on the reliability impact of this situation
2. If the current is limited to less than 20mA on this input, does that mitigate the -0.5V ABS max negative voltage limit?
A similar part in this family (SN74AVC4T245) has a note (note 2) below the ABS max table that states the voltage ratings may be exceeded if the current is limited - does that note apply to this part as well? It isn't included in the '244 datasheet for some reason. Please clarify if that statement applies as well...
