I have a general questions for for all ICs you have in your portfolio.

- We are currently having logic, power management and other ICs from you in our designs

We are using electronics inside a pressurizes enclosure in hazardous environments.

As gas we are using a inert gas to pressurize the enclosure.

Do you have general information about the ambient pressure to which the components can be subjected without exceeding the data sheet specifications?

Hi Dominique,

We don't test these devices across changes in pressure. Our space-rated parts are all hermetically sealed so they shouldn't be affected by changes in pressure, but we don't have any data for our catalog parts.

Do you have any best guess up to which pressure this shouldn't be an issue?
- We are in range of 0.2 - 1.0Bar, the exact value is under clarification right now.

Hi Dominique,

Sorry to be really unhelpful, but I've looked around and we literally don't do any pressure testing at all. This page breaks down what we do test for, for reliability purposes:

If you really need something with data, we do have either space parts which are hermetically sealed or high-reliability enhanced plastic parts, which have some autoclave data, ex:

Space-rated devices can work in vacuum; the biggest problem there for catalog devices would be outgassing. I do not know how bad it would be at 0.2 bar.
