SN74AVC4T774: Rise and Fall time Units in the datasheet is ns/V??

Hello TI,

While referring to SN74AVC4T774RSVR datasheet for Rise and Fall time values, the data sheet shows value in "ns/V".

"Δt/Δv : Input transition rise or fall rate : 5 : ns/V"

This is in contradiction to in general used unit of V/ns.

What is the correct way of going about this unit??

This is correct; the unit ns/V is generally used to specifiy the input rise/fall rate limits.

If you want to use the slew rate measured in V/ns, just take the reciprocal.

Can you also explain why we use ns/V for Input rise/fall?

It's just for historical reasons; newer datasheets continue to use it so that the values are comparable.
