How are you?

We bought  the TI part few days ago and have a question about the surface, could you pls give me a hand?  pls we need your help, thank you. 

Part 1#  

MPN: SN74LVC138ADGVR

Brand: TI

DC: 2243+ 

Questions: surface seems had been polished, it seems erased on the front of surface, I have poictures show you for reference, I want to know whether the production line is the same as that shown in the picture？

 

Could you pls share one person contact or email and have a look pictures, thank you so much in advance!

    •   Pls see the reference pircture, the surface of part seems has been erased/polished, so we are not sure if factory produce line products same like picture show or not.

    Hi Jessie,

    Do you have a problem with the parts appearing polished?

    Can you post a picture of the shipping label you received this part in? 

    These parts can come from multiple sites, and some do laser etching which can give a similar appearance to what was shown in the picture.

    Yes, we are confused with the part surface appearing polished! we are not sure if factory production line also same as the picture surface.   

    This part we bought from DGK.

    Hi Jessie,

    I have confirmed that parts that come from sites that do laser engraving for the symbolization, like this device, will clean up the surface before finishing the devices.

    Hi Owen, 

    Thanks for you further confirmation. 

    I'm still a little confused, have another 2 questions: 

    1.  Are the surfaces of all the materials produced in the same batch and at the same time like this? like the photo surface showing?  

    2. I can fully understand that all items need to be cleaned after laser printing, but why do they look uneven?  

    Sorry for more detail's questions, hope could get your help on this, thank you so much! we buy many other TI parts, most not like that. so our team also confused on that.

    Hi Jessie,

    1. Yes, the same batch will most likely all look similar. However, I am not sure exactly how Digikey ships devices. There may be mix and matching on their side. 

    2. This is not something that we can answer as it is not the product line's expertise. We can help troubleshoot any circuit issues you have with the device, but not physical manufacturing properties.
