LVC8T245 Input Voltage levels

Hello all,

I want to use the LVC8T245 for level-shifting between 5V TTL and 2.5V LVCMOS.

If the 5V side of the LVC8T245 is configured as output, everything's ok.

But if the 5V side of the LVC8T245 is configured as input, the input voltage levels (Vinh, Vinl) are not TTL compliant. To get TTL compliant input voltage levels (Vinh=2V, Vinl=0.8V), it seems as if I have to switch the power-supply of the LVC8T245 to 3.3V.

Is this the only way? Or do you have any other suggestion?

Regards,

Niels
