the Frequency(Max) @the respective conditions for SN74LVC1G125 & SN74AVC2T45

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AVC2T45, SN74LVC1G125, SN74LVC1G74

Hello Team,

My customer would like to know the Frequency(Max) for SN74LVC1G125 & SN74AVC2T45.

Could you tell me the Frequency(Max) @the following conditions?

  • SN74LVC1G125

1) Vcc: 1.8V, input: LVCMOS 33, output: LVCMOS 18

2) Vcc: 1.8V, input: LVCMOS 18, output: LVCMOS 18

  • SN74AVC2T45 (A to B)

1) Vcca: 1.8V, Vccb: 1.8V, input(A): LVCMOS 18, output(B): LVCMOS 18

2) Vcca: 3.3V, Vccb: 1.8V, input(A): LVCMOS 33, output(B): LVCMOS 18

3) Vcca: 1.8V, Vccb: 3.3V, input(A): LVCMOS 18, output(B): LVCMOS 33

  • Hi Matsunami-san,

We have estimates for frequency of input. As a general rule, we use the fMAX specification of a part in the same family with a CLK input to estimate input frequency capability.

The SN74LVC1G125 can handle 80 MHz at VCC = 1.8 V. I obtained this estimate from the fMAX parameter in the SN74LVC1G74 (D-type flip flop) datasheet.

As for the AVC device, I will move this post to the Voltage Level Translation forum.

  • Hi Matsunami-san,
For SN74AVC2T45, the data rate will depend on power supply and output load.
    1) Vcca: 1.8V, Vccb: 1.8V, input(A): LVCMOS 18, output(B): LVCMOS 18
The input siganl frequency is up to 160MHz when output load is 15pF.
    2) Vcca: 3.3V, Vccb: 1.8V, input(A): LVCMOS 33, output(B): LVCMOS 18
The input siganl frequency is up to 160MHz when output load is 15pF.
    3) Vcca: 1.8V, Vccb: 3.3V, input(A): LVCMOS 18, output(B): LVCMOS 33
The input siganl frequency is up to 160MHz when output load is 15pF.ThanksWei
