CD40106B: CD40106B Datasheet Issue

Part Number: CD40106B

Dear Forum Members,

There are some data I can't find in the CD40106B datasheet, so I need your help.

1.  output source current max value table(according the operating temperature). 

2.  output sink current max value table(according the operating temperature).

3. figure 1 to figure 4(on page 9, related Io source/sink curve), I can't find the operating temperature condition neither in the curve diagram  nor in testing condition remarks.

    Hi Carl,

    The IOH and IOL values given in the Electrical Characteristics give an idea of where the device should be operated. I would not advise going much beyond the values listed.  The part, much like most logic devices, can drive much more current than that listed, but will run into thermal problems. Note the maximum power dissipation per output (100mW) in the Absolute Maximum Ratings table.

    The figures you mentioned are all part of the 'Typical Characteristics' section and should be assumed to be taken at room temp (25C) unless otherwise noted.
