SN74HC595: Hermetic Equivalent Required

Can you tell me about your application?

This will probably fall to our high reliability group, and the cost for those parts is typically much higher than the catalog equivalents.

Application is consumer only but I want to analyze the performance of my product comparing with hermetic part.. Hence I require an hermetic sealed SN74HC595.

Adding to my above comment, I want that to be in SOIC-16 package. If you have any, please update me.

If HiRel and hermetic, both are same, then you may please provide me an equivalent of HiRel part too.

As replied for your earlier post, please provide me an equivalent for SOIC-16 package with complete part number.

Arun, as noted earlier.
The only packages that are hermetic are the ceramic packages. There are 3 different packages.
The J, W and FK packages. Their outlines can be seen in the datasheet.
They are not SOIC-16s. Plastic packages are not hermetic.

In SN54HC595 datasheet, I do not see the information that SN54 or rather LCCC is ceramic package.

1. Where will I get the information for that the LCCC or J, W and FK are ceramic package?

2. Adding to S. No. 1, where will I again get the information that ceramic package is hermatic compliant?

Hi Wade,

In the link  I see information that it is ceramic and it is mentioned in note it is mentioned that it can be hermetic sealed with metal lid but there is no clear confirmation on it.

Can you please update me the complete ordering part number which would be ceramic with hermetically sealed.
