Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDC339,
I have a clock source that can handle up to 15pF load. I need to connect this clock signal to a 100 ADC's to sync them all together.
I started looking for a clock distribution chip that works at 5V. I found this one CDC339 but I need one that has more outputs.
The question now is will this chip SN74ABT16827 work as a clock distribution chip if I connect my clock signal to one input, say 1A1, and connect the output of this buffer 1Y1 to the remaining inputs 1A2 - 2A10 so that I get 19 copies of the clock signal. I know there will be a time delay between the original clock signal and the 19 copies which I assume they will not have a time delay among themselves.
Does a clock distribution chip have a significantly better performance over my configuration using SN74ABT16827, if there is any?
Thanks,
