SN74AVCBH164245: When only one side VCC is turn off

Part Number: SN74AVCBH164245

Hi team,

The device has an occasion that only VCCB is occasionally turned off from their application while VCCA turn-on. Would you let me know this can lead to any damage or misoperation? Thank you!

  • The datasheet says on the first page:

This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow through the device when it is powered down. If either VCC input is at GND, both ports are in the high-impedance state.

So this device will not be damaged.
