SN74AUC2G04: Polarity

Part Number: SN74AUC2G04

I work at a contract manufacturing house, and one of our customers spec'ed SN74AUC2G04 for a couple placements. The customer's PCB silkscreen is clear enough as to where they need pin-1, but the datasheet in tandem with the physical part is unclear as to how to tell where pin-1 is.

The datasheet indicates that some mark will be made in a quadrant of the IC, but when I look at the part there are a total of 4 lines...

  • runs the width of the part along a non-leaded edge;
  • one in each quadrant along the leaded edges, with the exception of one quadrant.

Can someone help clarify which of the four marks is the official polarity mark?

Best regards,

Nic
