Hi Team,

Please allow me to ask you about the pull up resistor.

TXS0102 has internal 10k resistor. when four TCA9555 device is on the I2C/SMBus could it be able to drive with the internal 10K Ohm or would you need smaller resistor pull-up externally, in parallel ?

Best Regards,

  • Hello,

As long as the bus capacitance is <70pF it should be fine. If the bus capacitance is higher than 70pF you may run into issues with the one-shot timing out before the edge transition which will negatively impact your data rates.

  • Hello Aozer-san,

Thank you for your comment. I understood that as long as total load capacitance is below 70pF, internal 10KOhm could drive without problem. If there is misunderstanding please let me know.
