TXS02612: SDIO SDCard issue

Hi All,

we are facing an issue with FPGA and SD-card slot using TXS02612 to translate from FPGA voltage level(2.5V) to SD card voltage level(3.3V).

We developed and succesfully tested several prototypes using your device (same layout/schematic) but unfortunately now this solution seems not working anymore.

Same SD Card booting on older prototypes does not work on new ones, furthermore it seems that on new prototypes different SD Cards causes different behaviour(sometimes boot sometimes not).

Analyzing the physical layer voltage levels show no significant difference, are you aware of some changes in your device layout/behaviour that may produce this issue?

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi Fabio,

According to the post, it was working before and now it isnt.
Does the newer SD card have faster spec? Since the TXS02612 supports only up to 60Mhz which is not fast enough for all the newer SD cards standards.

Also, these devices were released in 2008 and we didnt have any design or layout changes to the device. So it is unlikely that the device can cause the failure to the system.
