Hello guys,

One of my customers is going to adopt SN74LVC3GU04 for their next products.

They need the following data to register SN74LVC3GU04 to their qualified parts list.

Could you please give me your replies or comments?

Q1, How much capacitance of a ceramic capacitor should be mounted between VCC and GND for a de-coupling capacitor? Is it 0.1uF ceramic capacitor?

Q2. Do you have any latch-up performance which tested base on standard, EIAJ ED-4701 C-113?

Q3. Do you have any ESD performance data which tested base on standard, EIAJ ED-4701 C-111?

0.1uF is sufficient for bypass capacitor between Vcc / gnd, multiple bypass caps are fine to reject multiple noise frequencies.

The datasheet features section has the latch up performance exceeding 100mA and ESD HBM of 2kV, CDM 1kV.

Could I ask you an additional question as the below?

Q. Is it no problem that VCC is powered down to 0V when high level signal is applied to input terminal (1A, 2A or 3A)?

For example, SN74LVC3GU04 VCC=5V and also input terminal is 5V. After that, VCC only goes down from 5V to 0V with 5V input voltage keeping.

Is this situation no problem for the device?

Kazuya,

No problems for LVC3GU04 device to have overvoltage on inputs when Vcc is at 0V.
