Datasheet questions

Part Number: TXB0302

Hello,

One of my customers has questions on the datasheet for txb0302. Can you please help comment on below items?

    • What is Maximum IOL this device can drive?
      • In that case what is the VOL ( I see datasheet show ,0.2V for IOL of 20 uA)
    • What is the maximum load capacitance it can drive ?

Thanks,

Nitish

  • Due to the 1 kΩ resistors in front of the output drivers, the outputs are very weak. (This is required to allow other devices to override the voltage level.) The largest IOL that makes sense is shown in the test conditions for VOL; it is indeed 20 µA. If you try to draw more current, the voltage drop over the resistor (e.g., 1 V at 1 mA) will make the the output useless, and might trigger the output to go into the opposite direction.

    The datasheet says:

The TXB0302 is designed to drive capacitive loads of up to 50 pF.

  • Thank you Clemens !

    Nitish,

We could suggest better devices to fit the system, if you can please let us know the application and related information( data rate, loading, interface, etc).
