DC Input to Customized Frequency Waveform Output for Audio Applications

I need help deciding what single TI product, or combination of products, will help me take a DC input of 0-5V, and output a customized AC waveform at a specified frequency with amplitude proportionally based on the DC input. End use of the AC output is for audio applications.

What does "customized AC waveform" mean? For arbitrary waveforms, you would need a DAC.
