iar for arm 6.5 installation fails

I am trying to install IAR 6.5 for ARM, downloaded from the TI site:

EK-TM4C123GXL-IAR:
TivaWare for C Series and IAR Embedded Workbench for the Tiva C Series TM4C123G LaunchPad

During the decompression and installation I get a fatal error. File in use by another program.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Are you (really) downloading "IAR" from the TI site?

IAR 6.5 is older version - 7.4 is now up & downloadable from "IAR's" site. Seems your retry w/more current version may be worthwhile.

Just found the problem, my banking authentification Rapport was the culprit.

One quick, final point. We have (long) found the IDE vendor's "examples" to be far older - and far more limited - than MCU vendor's.

Suggest that you confine your use to those w/in Tiva directory... Should you be a student - or know one - reduced price "J-Link" greatly speeds & improves IAR's capability/delivery.
