TMS570LC4357: How to configure variable length arrays

Hi Team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

I noticed the file vla_alloc.c, but did not participate in the compilation. Do I need to configure HAL_Cogen if I want this file to participate in compilation? How to configure?

No. This is your own c-code file.

Right click on the project and select "Add Files". After selecting the files you want to add, another dialog box will pop up allowing you to select to copy the files or link the files.

Can you clarify which compiler version the customer is using?

The last time I checked, with TI ARM Compiler v20.2.0 , the compiler automatically inserted calls to _vla_alloc and __vla_dealloc when variable length arrays were used in the source code. See MSP-EXP432P401R: Local arrays on the stack (instead of alloc'ed on the heap)
