Hello,

I have a customer asking about some clarification on the SWDLOCKPOLICY field in BOOTCFG0. The TRM field description describes three possible states, open access, core only access, and no jtag access. However there are only two value options for this field so is that a typo or is there a third value which corresponds to core only JTAG access?

Hi Munan,

I think for C series, it doesn't support three mode. It is a document error copy from M0L

Hi Eason,

Got it thank you. So to secure debug access, does the customer have to disable both fields or just one? Or what's the point of having SWDLOCKPOLICY and SWDP_MODE?

I think this will be handled by syconfig. Customer only need to know what the restriction they want.

Hi Eason,

Customers do not always use sysconfig, and the TRM needs to be accurate to describe the possible combinations here.

Otherwise you are locking them into sysconfig and not actually documenting the behavior of the part.

Hi Munan,

Thank you feedback. I have forwarded it to our system to let them to do a TRM update. Currently, can customer use sysconfig to do the setting? Or they can learn from it how to do the register setting.
