TMS570LC4357: Disable error pin output for ESM group 1, 2, 3

Hi

Can I use ESMLTCR to set to 0 to disable the error pin function? What is the time interval of every count? It seems that when the error pin is low, it stays low forever. Can you describe purpose of LTCP in below?

I read TRM again and realised that LTCR can't be configured or modified. The problem is caused by Group 2 Channel 3 error which only happen at startup and not present after that. How to resolve this wrong error pin output?

Yes, you are correct. We cannot disable the ERROR pin functionality for group2 and group3 errors.

This LTCP value will control the lower period for the ERROR pin, however we cannot make this value to 0 because the lower 14 bits (bit 0 to bit 13) are always 1's only we cannot make them zero, we can only control the bit 14 and bit 15 values. Please refer below threads to understand more details:

It seems the error pin is randomly low at init. When I do a read of ESMSR, when it happens, it is caused by group2 channel 3. When I clear the error and read again, it becomes 0 and stays 0 for a long time. During this time, the error pin will still remain low. How to make this pin go high again? Just by reset?

Using the same hardware, the error pin is now high. This error is so random.

Can I do the 2 steps anywhere and not only at reset? The 2 steps are writing 

esmREG->EKR = 0xA //forcing an error

 esmREG->EKR = 0x5 //switching to high after ltcp expire

I tried adding it after detecting error and the software hang. Below is my code:
