TMS570LC4357-EP: Multi-Buffered Serial Peripheral Interface Module (MibSPI) with Parallel Pin Option

Part Number: TMS570LC4357-EP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LC4357

Tool/software:

Hi,

Greetings for the day, team.

I have some confusion regarding the use of the Multibuffered SPI Interface in the TMS570LC4357 microcontroller. I want to use the MIBSPI5 module, which has 4 MOSI and 4 MISO pins.

According to the latest datasheet of the TMS570LC4357, the MIBSPI configurations are as shown in this image:

However, according to the reference manual of the same MCU, the MIBSPI configurations are as shown in this image:

The datasheet states that MIBSPI5 has 4 MOSI and 4 MISO lines, but the reference manual states that MIBSPI5 has 2 MOSI and 2 MISO lines.

The MCU has dedicated 4 MOSI and 4 MISO pins. Can I use the MIBSPI5 module with 4 MOSI and 4 MISO lines in my design?

Thank you!
