MSPM0L1306: Minimum Current Consumption while Running

Good day TI team,

For us, 1MHZ system clock frequency is enough.

It looks MSPM0L1306 supports minimum sysosc of 4MHz.

In that case, hope the minimum current consumption during RUN time will be 284uA. (As 71uA/MHz).

Please correct us, if any mismatch in this understanding.

Hi Selvam,
Based from what I can see in the datasheet 7.5.1 RUN/SLEEP Modes section, the device will typically consume 520uA at a 4MHz SYSOSC. How are you getting the 284uA?

Thanks for the response.

Got 284 uA from the session 1. Features (page 1) of datasheet as below:

RUN: 71 μA/MHz (CoreMark)

So, for 4MHz, 4x71 = 284μA.

Please correct me, if mismatch in calculation.

Any possibility to run in 1MHz?

Hi Selva,
The 71 uA value must be coming from a 32MHz clock value. The value you should use is the one in 7.5.1 RUN/SLEEP 4MHz mode. As for the 1MHz question, that won't be possible. This device only allows 4MHz-32MHz.
